A romantic French February

It has only been 2 months since my trip to the French Riviera... which, as I sit here in 40-degree drizzles and think about it, is really a downer! I have depleted all my rations of spices and snacks so am left with only memories of my culinary journey. My favorite restaurant in Mougins hosted a small yet phenomenal menu, and the butter used in my Poisson dish was enough to make me weak in the knees. Between the fresh ingredients and having the Mediterranean bless my food with her salty air, this trip was truly an inspiration which awakened ALL my senses. If only I could bring this back to Tacoma! This month we celebrate the beauty of French wine and passionate flavors of French cuisine.

Please join us for our French Wine Tasting event, Wednesday February 23rd 5-8pm. Brothers Caleb & Josh from Grape Expectations will be sharing their expertise with 5 wines for $20. Bottles will be available to purchase if you find a favorite! The Aperitif choices will include Alaskan Smoked Salmon Verrine, Brie en Croute, Ratatouille, Raclette, and a variety of Pate. With passions aflare from all this delicious food & wine, we also have invited local musicians to spice up your Friday nights! On Feb 11 Erina McLaren will be showcasing her sultry vocals from 7-9pm, then on Feb 25 Rhythm & Verse will pump up the volume and get us grooving into the weekend. Reservations are a must for these events as space is limited.
